Autumn Term Clubs

These are the clubs that we have in school this term:

Colouring Club

Mrs Clarke runs Colouring Club on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday lunch time in her classroom. Come along if you would like to spend some time drawing and colouring.

Football Club

Football club is run by Mr Gillen on a Monday after school for anyone in Year 5 and 6.  It’s really fun.  Boys and girls learn a lot of skills as well as have the opportunity to play games. Matches against other schools are held whenever possible and we also compete in local tournaments.  Last year the A team were winners of the Schools Sports Partnership tournament and the B Team were 2nd.

Ocarina

Miss Willer runs a musical instrument club on a Tuesday lunch time from Year 1 upwards.  They are like little round recorders and if you have never played one before, come and have a try!

Cross Country

Cross Country club is open to anyone in Year 3-6. If you would like to get outside in the fresh air, join Mrs Clarke on a Thursday lunch time.

Netball Club

Miss Stannard runs our netball club on Thursday from 3.20 to 4.15pm.  It is a great way of keeping fit and having fun too!  If you’ve never played before come along and learn the game.  We love to play competitively and last year the A Team were South Norfolk Champions in the Hi 5 Netball Tournament and also winners of the Schools Sports Partnership 7-a-side competition.

Choir

This is run on Thursday lunchtime for Key Stage 2 children. We sing a range of songs and perform in concerts throughout the year. It is run by Miss Willer while Mrs Bennett is on maternity leave.

Art Club

Art club takes place on Wednesdays and Fridays after school and is open to all children. The club is run by Louise Thompson and is full of fun creative activities. The children take part in competitions and are able to use their imagination to create lots of wonderful things!

Digital Leaders

This club will be held at lunchtimes and allows Year 6s who have passed the interviews to practise their ICT skills. They code games, interact online, help other children in the school and sometimes even teach the teachers about new technology! They have also visited the Apple Store in Norwich to create music!

Heywood After-School Clubs

Heywood are offering a range of After-School clubs at Roydon Primary School. There is a different session each day, and they run during term time on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 3.20pm until 4.20pm. Come along for lots of fun and exercise!

Jungle Body – Tuesday

Multi-sports – Wednesday

Dodgeball – Thursday
